Here’s where you come in:

As the Accountability and Transparency Advisor, you will provide advice to, and help develop the capabilities of, World Vision offices in fulfilling its commitment to being accountable to the children and communities it serves, as well as transparency to external stakeholders including government donors and regulatory bodies. You will contribute expertise on accountability principles, mechanisms, tools, and training to World Vision Global Centre teams that develop programmatic guidance. You will also play an important role in supporting the WVI and SOs to fulfil commitments to transparency, notably through publishing figures to the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) portals and participating the Accountability Report process.

Requirements include:

  • Educated to Master’s degree level or with evidence of having completed advanced training in areas related to accountability or community engagement.
  • At least seven years’ experience of working on accountability or related areas (including monitoring & evaluation, learning and community engagement) within the development sector.
  • Experience of adapting accountability processes and tools to different contexts.
  • Experience, and demonstrated commitment to, actively engaging in Communities of Practice or other forms of peer learning.
  • Experience in managing data sets and drafting clear internal reports.
  • Excellent English skills, French, Spanish, or Arabic an asset.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
