Accounting Manager – Chad At CARE USA

Job Summary

The incumbent of this position is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial operations of accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, control and validation of sub-office reports. He/she will provide the necessary supervision to the accountants responsible for the analysis and review of data to be posted by SSC in People Soft. He/she plays a key role in ensuring that the overall AP process runs smoothly, thanks to quality and timely information from the Country Office.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable / Support and implementation of the global accounts payable process
  • Supervise and/or analyze transaction entry.
  • Follow up accounts receivable, including inputting donor information.
  • Bank Accounts monitoring.
  • Supervise the various stages in the monthly closing of accounts.
  • Audit coordination

Qualifications

  • Higher education degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration or equivalent.
  • Accounting and financial certifications would be an asset for this position.
  • At least three (03) years’ professional experience in Accounting, Finance, Administration, Auditing.
  • Must have worked in an accounting firm and with an international development aid organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Good analytical skills, good interpersonal skills, good listening skills, strong leadership, and diplomacy.
  • Good knowledge of word processing and accounting software.
  • Professional conscientiousness and commitment to CARE’s core values
  • Demonstrate respect, integrity, and impartiality.
  • Ability to maintain good professional relations with colleagues.
