The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration of one year. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.
Due to current developments in Afghanistan, we are looking for you to take on administrative tasks as they arise. You will in particular support the communication with relevant authorities and handle incoming inquiries, both from active and former colleagues, around the topic of “local staff procedures”. You will ensure a smooth exchange of information and bring relevant experience and sovereignty in dealing with sensitive data. In addition, you should have a positive charisma, be a team player and maintain an overview even in hectic times.
Your responsibilities
- Handle and process inquiries from current or former employees or their relatives in the context of the Afghanistan local staff procedure
- Independent information and communication management
- Independent assumption of organizational and coordination tasks
- Communication with applicants and relevant ministries in coordination with Welthungerhilfe’s responsible Regional Directorate and the Country Office in Kabul, as well as with the Security Officer
Your profile
- A completed commercial training relevant for the position
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience, ideally in a development context
- Good computer skills, especially with regard to MS Office applications
- Strong communication skills
- Service-oriented appearance towards internal and external contacts
- Structured working style and sovereignty, also under pressure and increased workload
- Flexibility, empathy, discretion and reliability
- Excellent spoken and written German and English; Dari and/or Pashto language skills would be an advantage
