Full time; Project office in Grenada, occasional regional or international missions

Duration

March 2024 until February 2025, with possibility for extension

Duties

• Supporting the organizational set up and capacity development of the newly created Water Resources Management Unit
• Collect and process data and information related to water resources management
• Ensuring the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management Plan of the G-CREWS Project

Profile requirements

Qualifications

• Masters/MSc related to water, environment, or climate

Professional Experience and required competences

• At least 5 years of professional working experience in public advisory services or in the private sector, ideally with a focus on water or climate resilience
• Profound knowledge on assessing or implementing environmental and social safeguard processes
• Work experience in setting up and implementing monitoring systems
• First-hand experience in project implementation and multi-stakeholder coordination across various sectors in the CARICOM or OECS region

Languages, applications and other competences

• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication and networking skills
• very good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
• Ability to work in a team
• Valid driver’s license or willingness to acquire one
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management
• Candidate must be a Citizen of Grenada or be allowed to work in Grenada.
