Job Summary:
You will provide technical advice, guidance, and support for risk management functions at the regional, country program (CP) and partner level in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, agreements and CRS policies to ensure compliant and
effective delivery of high-quality programming to the poor and vulnerable within the West Africa Region. Your knowledge and advice in adhering to CRS and donor requirements will ensure effectiveness of our programming to the people we serve through the application of the principles of stewardship, integrity, transparency, and acc
ountability.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with audit, risk and compliance, and ethics unit agency and CP leads, as well as appropriate regional and CP leadership on implementing and strengthening risk management systems, processes, and policies.
- Anticipate and identify risk issues and challenges and the most appropriate solutions to address them. Provide guidance on strengthening systems and internal controls.
- Advise CPs and the region on identifying key requirements derived from applicable laws, regulations, and CRS polices and then mapping related roles, responsibilities and accountability.
- Monitor/survey region-wide compliance with key requirements, address gaps and strengthen compliance.
- In collaboration with CP management, analyze audit results and provide recommendations that are effective to prevent and/or detect risks that impact operations and/or compliance objectives.

li>In collaboration with CP management, programming, and/or operation leads, design and facilitate relevant risk training sessions and contribute to relevant components of institutional capacity strengthening plans for CRS and partners - Support and advise CPs on preparations for internal or external audits and action plans to close out audit findings.
- Lead or coordinate investigations on fraud allegations. Make recommendation and manage the reporting.
- Review agreements and contracts for compliance with internal policies and donor regulations.
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or other relevant Master’s preferred. Chartered accountant, certified internal auditor or certified fraud examiner strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years work experience, ideally with an international organization, with progressive responsibility in operations and/or programming
. At least 5 of these years entailing audit, compliance or risk management experience - Thorough knowledge of audit standards and compliance regulations and international standards for internal control and risk management including either ISO 37000 or COSO’s Internal Control Framework
Required Languages – English, French
Travel – Must be willing and able to travel up to 40 %.

- Proficient in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and information management systems.
