OFFER SUMMARY

Under the responsibility of the regional manager of the voluntary cooperation program, the cooperating person will carry out their mandate with the partner organization in order to ensure the implementation of individual and organizational capacity building activities within the framework of the cooperation program. voluntary. The volunteer advisor will be required to advise, assist and technically support the team of the partner organization in their reflections and work surrounding organizational management. The person holding the position also contributes to the development of reports and communication articles related to the activities developed and implemented during their mandate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to building the capacity of the partner organization in terms of developing organizational strategies and project management tools;
  • Provide the partner organization with technical and methodological support in the development and updating of institutional policies and gender-sensitive protocols;
  • Support the strengthening of the partner organization in terms of work organization, information management, communications among other activities related to its expertise;
  • Support the partner in the development, revision and/or monitoring of the strategic plan, as well as its dissemination;
  • Develop and carry out training workshops on organizational dynamics and management;
  • Contribute to the development of planning, monitoring and evaluation tools for activities, programs and models designed for the partner organization;
  • Support the development of daily project management tools;
  • Support the organization in activities related to the social laboratory;
  • Participate in the initial mapping of actors and updating the profile of the child protection system in the country of intervention;
  • Support the organization in activities related to the social laboratory;
  • Write progress reports on the activities implemented in collaboration with the partner organization;
  • Write articles on the work carried out and on the experience of voluntary cooperation;

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Have permanent residence or Canadian nationality;
  • Hold a university degree in project management or any other related fields;
  • Minimum of 2 years of significant work experience in project management, strategic planning or organizational development and management functions;
  • Mastery of French, both written and spoken. The person must be able to write, revise, comment on and correct texts in French and, for mandates in Central and South America, mastery of Spanish, both written and spoken;
  • Ability to prepare and conduct training, and provide recommendations;
  • Ability to analyze, organize and synthesize;
  • Mastery of new information technologies;
  • Great ability to work in a team while being autonomous in one’s work;
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office 2010 suite (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and great adaptation skills;
