Assignment :

In the context of the preparation of the N4G Summit, Action Against Hunger is focusing on three areas of advocacy: the participation of civil societies in the Summit, the integration of the root causes of malnutrition in multi-sectoral responses, and the promotion of greater transparency and data sharing on malnutrition.
Your main missions will be:
Advocacy in France (15%): Support the NGO coalition by contributing to advocacy actions with decision-makers, participating in coordination meetings, and preparing advocacy documents.
Supporting civil societies in the Global South (15%): Help coordinate advocacy efforts with civil societies in the Global South, strengthen links with Action Against Hunger country offices, and develop practical tools for advocacy.
Organizing a global event (50%): Assist in the preparation of an event on accountability, develop expertise on the subject, and participate in the organization and logistics of the event, including managing guest relations.
Finally, you will participate in the internal life of Action Against Hunger (20%), by supporting the Civil Society division during team meetings and one-off activities.

Profile:

The ideal candidate for this position demonstrates ease in dialogue, the confrontation of ideas and exchanges, including with public authorities. The intern knows how to express ideas clearly and transcribe them concisely in writing.
Fluent in English, with skills in Spanish or Arabic as an asset, the intern is currently in the 1st or 2nd year of a master’s degree, preferably in a course in international/humanitarian law, geopolitics, international relations, political communication or humanitarian project management.

Conditions of employment

Mandatory Condition: Have an internship agreement issued by a French school
Duration of the Internship: 6 months
Location: Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)
Salary Conditions:
Internship compensated at the level of the minimum legal hourly compensation (based on 35 hours per week)
21 days of RTT (prorated to the time spent in the organization)
Days of absence for exams, university research, etc.
Transport: 50% of the package between home and the workplace
Meal vouchers: 60% covered by the association for a value of 8 euros
Social works and reduction on cinema tickets
Teleworking: Open to all and from the metropolitan territory, our teleworking policy defines the activities of the position requiring a mandatory time spent at the association’s headquarters, and allows you to choose to fully or partially exercise the rest of this time by teleworking. For this purpose, a mandatory presence at the headquarters of 4 days per month has been defined for this position. Times of presence at the headquarters will also be dedicated to collective sharing: 3 days per month on average for meetings and collective events and 2 days of mandatory presence during the first 6 weeks when you join the team.
