About: Action against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against world hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Assignment :
Reporting to the Head of the Advocacy Unit – Civil Society Unit, this internship is at the crossroads of numerous themes and in connection with a very wide diversity of stakeholders. To this end, we are looking for an assistant capable of:
1) Participate in the definition of the “Localization” advocacy strategy:
– Creation of the mapping of powers on localization: Allies (civil society movements throughout the world, NGO I based in France) and targets (institutions, services of different ministries, etc.)
– Contacting allies to define a common advocacy strategy/
– Co-creation of advocacy tools: policy brief, position paper, etc.
Participation in the ACF “localization” working group
2) Participate in the definition of the “civic space preservation” advocacy strategy
– Mapping of attacks on civic space threatening ACF’s capacity for action
– Creation of the mapping of powers on the preservation of civic space: Allies ( civil society movements throughout the world, NGO I based in France) and targets (institutions, services of different ministries, etc.)
– Contact with allies to define common advocacy strategy/
– Creation of advocacy tools: policy brief, position paper, etc.
3) Launch the advocacy training tool intended for local partners.
– Finalization of the training tool
– Management of the layout of the training with the communications department or external service provider
– Communication with country offices to promote the training
4) Support the Civil Societies Center in its activities

Doing your internship at Action Against Hunger means:
= Live the experience of teleworking:
Open to all and from the mainland territory, our teleworking policy defines the activities of the position requiring an imperative presence time at the headquarters of the association, and allows you to choose to fully or partially exercise the remainder of this time by teleworking. To this end, a mandatory presence at headquarters of 6 days per month has been defined for this position. Presence time at headquarters will also be dedicated to collective sharing: 3 days per month on average for meetings and collective events and 2 days of compulsory presence for the first 6 weeks when you join the team.

– Internship compensated up to the legal minimum hourly bonus (based on 35 hours/week)
