Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Assignment :
Under the supervision of the SMSP and Protection Department Manager and Field Manager, your mission will be to guarantee the quality and relevance of SMSP interventions put in place to ensure the well-being of the most vulnerable populations affected by the crisis or disasters. Goma-Bambo.
More specifically, your role will be to:
Provide analyzes on the strategy and positioning of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support department in the Goma and Bambo regions.
Identify needs and contribute to the formulation of projects in the field of Mental Health and Care Practices.
Ensure the implementation, monitoring and drafting of reports for PMSC projects.
Contribute to quality and accountability processes, as well as evaluating the impact of PMSC programs.
Participate in the coordination, representation and partnerships of Action Against Hunger in your area of intervention.
Train and manage your teams.
Contribute to capitalization and technical development.
Guarantee and ensure the confidentiality of data collected during the mission’s PMSC activities.
Profile:
You hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology or Psychiatry, with at least 2 years of experience in these fields and in particular in the psychological treatment of psychological trauma.
You have at least 2 years of experience as PMSC and Protection Program Manager in different international NGOs and you have experience in managing integrated multi-sectoral projects. Experience with Action Against Hunger is an asset.
You also have experience managing and supervising live and remote teams. You have good interpersonal skills and are able to implement team capacity building plans and execute them.
You have good stress management; you have already worked in the field, in a complex context or situation from a security point of view.
You are capable of organization, anticipation and proactivity.
You are particularly skilled in analysis, synthesis and problem solving.
You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
YOUR CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Fixed-term contract under French law: 3 months
Start date: 01-04-2024
Gross monthly salary: from 2130 to 2475 euros depending on experience
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens : 16% of the gross monthly salary
Per diem and monthly living expenses: $974 net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 150euros
Child allowance: 1500euros per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000euros/year )
Transport and accommodation: Coverage for travel and collective accommodation
Medical Coverage: 100% of coverage for health contributions (CFE + supplementary health) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance schemes (sickness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR : 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; payment of the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and 215 euros of fixed compensation per RnR
