Overview of Position

  • Their areas of expertise cover infrastructure, procurement, project management, financial management & human resources.

Role Objectives

Purpose & scope of assignment:

  • The Architecture Engineer will contribute to the preparation of plans, specifications & estimates of costs for the project, Including detailed studies on specific items, conducting investigations, preparation of reports, inspection & construction contract administration.

Designs & constructions tasks:

  • Assist in drafting the architectural plans & drawings of the rehabilitation work.
  • Coordinate or attend project related meetings, such as pre bid, pre construction & project progress meetings.
  • Assist in preparing & delivering the required documents in a professional way within specified working period(s).
  • Assist in the adaptation plans for the health facilities.
  • Support in providing technical support for interior architecture detailed project.
  • Assist in the overall production of photographic & texts material contents of habitat III exhibition & venue branding.
  • Supervision & monitoring of the civil works to be carried in the project.

Project supervising:

  • Conduct site visits to the assigned health facilities to assess & identify rehabilitation needs & requirements for all buildings & departments of the targeted hospital & for all works & aspects such as civil works, WASH works, finishing works, furniture, etc.
  • Assist in preparing the bill of quantities & specifications of all required works (architectural design, furniture, etc.) in Arabic & English, as requested.

Project Reporting

  • This role reports to the line manager.

Key Competencies

  • Bachelor´s degree in architectural engineering with 4 years of working experience in project assessment, design & management in rehabilitation projects & construction projects is required.
  • Experience in rehabilitation & construction specifically in hospitals is preferred.
  • Experience in the usage of computers & software packages (drawing software, structural software, office (MS Word, Excel, etc.) & advance knowledge of spreadsheet & database packages is required.
  • Advance written & oral English & Arabic languages is required.
