Since 2022, Cesvi has been implementing an ECHO project: “Multisectoral humanitarian assistance to address the urgent needs of the most vulnerable people in Venezuela” which aims to strengthen the availability of protection, primary health and humanitarian assistance services to the most vulnerable people and communities affected by the crisis.

Position Responsibilities

Strengthen the technical capacities of key actors in the identification, approach and sensitive and non-revictimizing care of victims/survivors of Gender-Based Violence, Human Trafficking, and children in situations of rights violations, with approaches to human rights, gender, and resilience.

The main functions are framed in training public officials attached to the National Governing System for the Protection of Boys, Girls and Adolescents, VbG, including citizen security agencies, Complaint Receiving Bodies, defense of women’s rights and others related to the subject. However, they may also include members of local organizations, service providers and others. For their part, the technical support and articulation assistant is responsible for making the first link with the protection institutions together with the local protection manager where they must subsequently lead and execute the training process, which consists of diagnosis, implementation, follow-up and monitoring. In turn, they work under the supervision of the protection manager and in collaboration with the other team members for the correct implementation of actions framed in the project.

Articulation, Technical Support & Advocacy

  • Support the case manager in mapping existing institutions and services.
  • Support the protection manager with the relationship with institutions.
  • Participate in local advocacy spaces when required by the supervisor.
  • Lead the diagnosis of the needs of the institutions, organizations and actors selected for strengthening.
  • Inform the protection manager of the needs of the institutions.
  • Support the protection manager and the admin/log officer in defining the provisions (kits or space rehabilitations) for the institutions.
  • Lead training processes for the institutional strengthening of key protection actors based on the promotion and defense of human rights and good practices for the care of survivors of violence.
  • Support the development and review of training and informational material in the area of ​​their competence.
  • Conduct pre and post tests for training.
  • Lead the monitoring and follow-up of the institutions and actors that have participated in the training.
  • Support in the provision of satisfaction surveys.
  • Collaborate with community mobilizers to define a joint and complementary strategy for institutional and community strengthening, including an exit strategy.

Others

  • Conduct and support needs assessments in the area, specifically supporting interviews with key stakeholders.
  • Support, in coordination with the rest of the project team, in the logistics and administration of activities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and final reports on the status of strategy implementation, within the timeframes outlined in the work plan.
  • Support monitoring to ensure compliance with the program’s indicator goals.
  • Participate in team and supervisory meetings.
  • Participate in the training and experience exchange processes to which you are invited.
  • Collaborate with other institutional strengthening managers at CESVI to define the strategy and training package.
  • Other functions assigned by your immediate technical superior and that are related to the nature of the position.
