Arts Project Manager, ACP-EU Culture Programme (East Africa) Ignite Culture Kenya
Role Purpose
The Project Manager is responsible for the project management and compliant delivery of the Ignite Culture Programme. This includes oversight of the support programmes for grant beneficiaries, the monitoring and evaluation of technical outputs and results in line with the British Council KPIs in close collaboration with HEVA Fund. The Project Manager will manage relationships with consultants and lead the engagement with French speaking/ bilingual stakeholders to support the increased visibility and participation in this programme.
Role specific knowledge and experience:
The main essential knowledge and experience points that we are looking for you to evidence are:
- Relevant post-secondary school qualification or comparable experience
- Experience of complex project management
- Fluency in English and French
- Proven experience of financial and narrative reporting
- Demonstrable experience of monitoring and evaluation
Desirable Experience:
- Degree in relevant field / or project management qualification
- An innovative approach to the use of digital and social media to connect audiences
- Having C level for English and C1 (Cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues-CECRL)
- Experience working with/ in the cultural and creative industries
- Experience supporting/ managing donor funded contracts (DFID, EC, World Bank, etc) in social development, arts and culture and/or economic development programmes, with elements of project and financial management, contracting and partnering, and team working
Role Specific Skills:
- Bilingual – Fluent in French and English
- Project management experience
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge and use of Monitoring and Evaluation skills
- Managing relationships with stakeholders

Pay Band – 6
Remuneration – KES 310,296 per month
Contract Type – Fixed Term Contract ending July 2024
Location – Kenya
