With an expanding Asia Pacific portfolio of humanitarian assistance and disaster preparedness, risk mitigation and recovery (DRM) programs, we are currently seeking a Program Coordinator to become a critical member of our dynamic International Development team located in either Bangkok, Thailand or Jakarta, Indonesia.
Some of the central responsibilities of this position are:
Program Support and Coordination:
- Support and coordinate Miyamoto’s country-based teams and programs across various countries in the region.
- Support the development and implementation of program work plans and budgets, ensuring donor compliance and operational excellence when handling administrative, programmatic and operational tasks.
- Identify systematic and/or administrative gaps and needs, and help develop operational or compliance systems to support multi-country program implementation.
Program Development and Communication:
- Support business development efforts through research, writing concept notes and proposals, and organizing events.
- Help to develop effective marketing and communication materials for programs and for Miyamoto’s work in the region, such as success stories, and social media campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s accepted, but preferably an advanced degree in International Relations or International Development, Disaster Management or related field.
- At least 5 years of work experience within the international development and humanitarian assistance sector.
- Prior experience working on USAID awards with knowledge of USAID rules and regulations is a must.
- Prior experience working with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and other multilateral partners highly desired.
- Monitoring and evaluation skills highly desired.
- Excellent communicator with strong writing skills; professional fluency in English is a must.
- Creative, resourceful self-starter and multi-tasker with excellent organization and planning skills, as well as the ability to be flexible, problem solve independently and work well with remote, global teams.
