Research for Change: Assessing responses to the needs of

survivors of sexual violence in Haiti in humanitarian contexts.

Functions:

The specific objectives of this baseline study include:

• Demonstrate / analyze how sexual violence affects women, girls, boys and men in humanitarian contexts;
• Identify existing services (medical and psychosocial assistance and others) to which survivors have access while highlighting protection and gender weaknesses;
• Check if survivors have access to services (medical and psychosocial) that respect international standards and protocols;
• Identify existing good practices that prevent and combat sexual violence in areas.

The SCI-Haiti study team will hire a Study Consultant who will carry out their mandate under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator and MEAL Coordinator. He / She will be primarily responsible for conducting the study during the period in question.

Qualifications required:

• Experiences in qualitative research; Proven experiences (attach copy of similar work)
• Specific experience and expertise on gender and SGBV analysis, gender mainstreaming and participation of women and girls;
• Experience working on national gender policies and issues of sexual and gender-based violence in developing countries;
• Experience in organizational development and capacity building;
• Be aware of international / regional agreements and initiatives on gender (UN, CEDAW, Beijing, etc.);
• Ability and willingness to lead / direct data collection to ensure good quality data is available for analysis.
• Have excellent analytical and writing skills.
• Excellente maîtrise du français et créole. Maitrise de l’anglais est un atout.
• Avoir connaissances en informatique (minimum MS Word, Excel, MIS).

• Connaissance de la petite enfance cinq (5) années d’expérience professionnelle dans la formation des adultes
• Two years of experience in audio and e-learning content design
• Good oral and written expression skills in Haitian Creole
• Two elaborate documents (1 script, 1 audio in Creole)
