Focus on the Accounting Department

The Accounting Department is made up of 7 people. The mission of its members is to manage the general accounting of the headquarters and the missions of the Association.

And what about the Assistant Accounting Manager – Field Accounting in all this?

As Deputy Accounting Manager – Field Accounting, under the hierarchical supervision of the Accounting Manager, you will ensure the monitoring, control and recording of the accounts of Première Urgence Internationale missions abroad and you will participate in the improvement of the Association’s accounting tools and procedures.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Management : You will support and supervise field accounting assistants, ensure the proper flow of information and be in charge of analyzing the workload. You will also be in charge of developing and updating individual action plans and conducting half-yearly and/or annual appraisal interviews.
  • Accounting Supervision Mission : You will be in charge of the monthly verification and processing of accounting (paper and electronic SAGA) sent from the missions. You will be in charge of the monthly validation of exchange rates in SAGA. You will be the guarantor of the integration of SAGE entries in SAGA and the correspondence of SAGE-SAGA databases. You will participate in the annual closing of the association’s accounts. You will provide ongoing technical support to field administrators.
  • Supervision of management issues : You will control budgetary allocations in accordance with operating budgets.
  • Capacity development of field accounting teams : You will participate in the training of field administrators during their visit to Headquarters or on site depending on the needs. You will be in charge of developing a catalog of all the training to be provided. You will develop and provide e-learning training modules.
  • Development and improvement of financial tools : You will develop tools and procedures allowing greater efficiency in the management of ABXL and interactions between head office and field accounting. You will be in charge of managing general parameters and deploying new versions of the SAGA software. You will be in charge of developing accounting diagrams and procedures in connection with the management department’s projects.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Training

You can provide proof of initial training (Bac+4/5) in accounting and/or management.

Experience

Do you have experience in accounting? It is essential. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? It will be an undeniable asset!

SKILLS

Are you proficient in SAGA software? This position is for you!

Required qualities

You demonstrate good interpersonal skills, ease of communication, both written and oral, and you have a taste for teamwork. You demonstrate reliability and a sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, responsiveness and adaptability. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.

LANGUAGES

Do you speak French and English fluently? This is essential for this position!

PUI will offer you

Status: Executive

Salary: 3500 EUR gross monthly over 12 months

Medical coverage: 100% of the Health and Welfare mutual insurance

Support: Support of up to 50% of the transport ticket and up to 60% of the Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of €10)

Rest : 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37 hours/week)
