Background Information

Crown Agents has been at the forefront of the global Covid-19 response supporting governments to ensure that essential health services continue. Our work has spanned from procurement and distribution of PPE, prevention, screening and treatment of Covid-19, home-based case management, training of HCWs and CHWs, to most recently procuring, distributing and implementing Covid-19 vaccine programmes in multiple countries.

Crown Agents has been present in Ethiopia, Kenya and Zimbabwe for decades supporting the respective Governments across a broad spectrum of activities including health and human development, procurement and supply chain, governance and economic growth and training.

Objective of consultancy

The objective of this consultancy is to develop patient education materials that can be used to communicate clear and concise messages around Covid-19 prevention as well as the management of mild and moderate symptoms and the importance of getting vaccinated. The consultant will then provide a brief training to in-country Master Trainers on their appropriate use.

Scope of Work

The consultant will develop patient education materials on the prevention and management of mild and moderate symptoms of Covid-19 to include the importance of getting vaccinated, drawing from existing materials that have been developed in each of the respective countries.

The consultant should develop materials that are responsive to any Knowledge, Attitudes and Practice (KAP) surveys that have been undertaken as well as any localised information around vaccine hesitancy.

The consultant will provide a short training to in-country Master Trainers on the education materials and their appropriate use.

About you

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualification in Public Health or medical field e.g. MPH, BSN etc
  • 5+ years experience in developing communication materials
  • Experience in developing risk communications/ behaviour change communications materials

This position will be remote, with close liaison between London, Addis, Harare and Nairobi.
