Main role and responsibilities
The area coordinator represents Acted vis-à-vis local authorities, donors, beneficiary populations and other key stakeholders.
The coordinator is a member of the management team, he/she guarantees the quality of the program and its operational implementation, as well as its deployment where it is appropriate and feasible, he/she plays a strong representative role. The coordinator directly supervises the project managers by checking that the projects and programs are adapted to the needs of the beneficiaries and that they are implemented in accordance with the global strategy of Acted, with the orientations of the donor. Once the work plans and budgets are validated, the area coordinator also supervises day-to-day operations and security in the area concerned.

Qualifications and skills required
- Training in international development, emergency operations, humanitarian programs etc.;
- Extensive experience in project management in emergency and/or development programs;
- Basic management skills are preferred (HR, finance, logistics);
- At least four years of relevant professional experience, preferably including security management;
- Proven leadership and team management skills required;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, and flexibility;
Terms
- Salary defined by the Acted salary scale according to the level of education, expertise, security level and level of experience: between €3,100 and €3,200 net monthly (before income tax)
- Monthly living expenses allowance $300
- Accommodation in guesthouse and food provided by Acted
- Social security, mutual insurance (MSH) and repatriation assistance (SOS International) covered by Acted
- Transportation to the mission and return ticket fully covered every 6 months (to the address specified on the employment contract)
- Visa fees covered by Acted
- A week of preparation for departure including 4 days of immersion safety training
- Possibility of having a 30-minute call with a tax consultant
- Psychological support (appointment with a professional)
