COOPI is looking for a Consultant for strategic positioning assessment in Burkina Faso
In Burkina Faso, COOPI has been active since 2021 and implements multi-sectoral emergency response actions as well as early recovery of communities affected by conflicts in partnership with ECHO, AICS and other private donors. The organization’s operations are concentrated in the Sahel and Center North regions and are implemented in partnership with other national and international actors. COOPI has a coordination office in Ouagadougou as well as two field offices for monitoring operations.
Purpose of the position
Based on the achievements of the mission, define an intervention strategy for COOPI in Burkina . The Consultant will be responsible for coordinating the work of the evaluation mission up to the final report. He will be responsible for collecting relevant documentation, identifying key people to meet and organizing meetings and field trips, in collaboration with COOPI’s Head of Mission. Thus the consultant will make a technical and financial proposal .
Workplan:
The technical offer of the consultant must contain the following elements:
- a proposal for a clear and detailed methodology for conducting the evaluation;
- a proposal for the presentation of the report ;
- a proposed work schedule ;
- a CV and a list of previous experience in the field.
If the consultant needs other people for the field survey, they must be an integral part of the technical and financial offer.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate a strategic positioning in Burkina in the areas where COOPI already intervenes and the possibilities of action in the areas with strong security challenges, in the border areas of the South (Benin, Togo, Ghana and CI) and the Ouaga-Koudougou-Dédougou triangle -Bobo Dioulasso;
- Mapping of humanitarian actors and their sectors of intervention;
- Identify and explore possible strategic alliances , local partners, etc.;
- Identify the relevant intervention sectors for COOPI in line with its regional strategy and vision;
- Coordinate the work of the evaluation mission up to the final report in collaboration with the COOPI mission leader.
Candidate profile
Essential
- At least 5 years of experience in conducting evaluation and/or positioning analysis in collaboration with international organizations ;
- Knowledge of security issues and humanitarian issues in the Sahel;
- Mastery of the Burkinabè context and state and humanitarian actors.
