Business Process Analyst (for Philippine Residents Only) At International Committee of the Red Cross

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business Process Analyst is responsible for analyzing and mapping accounting business processes to find areas for improvement. They work closely with Business Process Owners (BPOs) and key stakeholders using continuous improvement methods to identify areas for improvement. The analyst also supports BPOs in understanding the needs of key stakeholders and end-users, and turning those needs into business requirements. Additionally, the Business Process Analyst translates business requirements into functional specifications and ensures they align with the IT solution under development. They also play a key role in creating and maintaining comprehensive business process documentation and training materials and contribute significantly to the planning of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

MAIN TASKS

  • Develop comprehensive process flows for both current and future business processes and systems.
  • Analyze business processes to identify areas requiring improvement.
  • Collaborate with BPOs and key stakeholders to gather, define, and document detailed business requirements that align with organizational objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, epics, features, and Product Backlog Items (PBIs).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate translation of business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain thorough business process documentation, including process maps, workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, and policy drafts.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test case creation, execution, and issue management.
  • Create test plans, scenarios, scripts, and other documentation to support solution development.
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to end-users post project implementation.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Finance & Administration Division and the IT team to ensure that solutions are designed and implemented in accordance with business requirements.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of at least 3-5 years in roles such as Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst, or similar positions.
  • Strong understanding and experience in business processes modelling, such as BPMN 2.0, and requirements gathering techniques.
  • Solid knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, forward-thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities independently or in collaboration with others.
  • Possession of certifications such as Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (e.g. BABOK, CBAP, CCBA), Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and Agile Project Management (e.g. PMI, SAFe) would be an advantage
  • Experience with Service Now an asset.
