CESVI is a non-governmental development organization engaged in Since 1985, CESVI has worked all over the world to support the most vulnerable populations in the promotion of human rights, in the realization of their aspirations, for sustainable development. CESVI has gained experience in drought response projects, particularly in Kenya and Somalia – the two most affected countries in the Horn of Africa together with Ethiopia.
In Ethiopia, CESVI has been registered since 2018. It currently has an ongoing intervention financed by AICS whose objective is to promote income-generating activities for young people with disabilities; the project “MAPS – Migration and Access to Protection and Basic Services: integrated interventions on the eastern migratory route – AID 12025″ in Dire-Dawa, Harar and Chiro; the initiative ” Humanitarian/Development/Peace Nexus Initiative in refugee camps and host communities of the Regional State of Benishangul-Gumuz (HUDEPE Benishangul-Gumuz)” AID 12279, together with CISP.
CESVI has been present in Borena since June 2021. Since April 2023, it has been implementing the project “Humanitarian / Development / Peace Nexus in agro-pastoral communities of refugees and host communities in Borena Oromia (HUDEPE Borena)” AID 12470, together with CISP. The intervention aims to strengthen resilience to climate shocks in the region’s most vulnerable communities by providing unconditional cash and essential inputs. HUDEPE Borena promotes training and an existing network of contacts with local authorities, with the involvement of communities that have already participated and benefited from CESVI activities in the area.
CESVI is currently seeking the External Auditor to conduct an audit service for its fiscal year 2024 financial statements in accordance with IPSAS and the requirement of the Agency for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO) plus Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE).
Eligible firms which fulfil the following requirements are invited to participate in this bid and submit their proposal
The requirements:
- Renewed license for 2016 and 2017 EC. who have legal license and experience to Provide Audit Service
- Professional license
- TIN and VAT registration certificate
- Evidence of previous experience in providing similar service in International NGOS
- Maximum period for finalizing the audit work (the audit service is expected to start immediately)
SCOPE OF SERVICE
- The firm will audit the client’s financial statement of the fiscal year 2024,
- There will be about 1 box files of accounting documents to be audited per month (estimated total 12 files per year)
- The firm will audit the financial statement and the supporting documents of the concerned period as prepared by the client and will give his opinion on the fair presentation of the financial statement
- The firm should conduct the audit according to IPSAS, the Agency for Civil Society Organizations, and the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE) requirements.
- The audit will be based in the Addis Ababa Office and visits to the projects may be facilitated upon request.
- Management letter and financial consolidation report will be the major output of the services.
- In its proposal, the firm should provide the fee for audit service; the duration of the annual audit; and the date of submission of the final audit report.
- CESVI reserves the right to accept or reject any bid to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time before contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to bidders.
Audit firms that meet the requirements are kindly requested to submit in person their technical and financial proposals from 1 October 2024 to 31 October 2024 during working hours in a sealed and stamped envelope to the attention of the Finance Department. The bid will close on October 31, 2024, at 5.00 pm. A receipt of acknowledgement of submitting the offer must be issued and signed by both parties indicating the date and the time of reception.
