Introduction:
Blumont is seeking to identify and collaborate with technical experts for future and current work in the West Africa region, particularly in Senegal, Mali, Benin, and Cote d’Ivoire. Blumont is a global organization working with communities around the world to help people overcome challenges and create a foundation for progress. All positions are contingent on successful donor awards and/or availability of funding.
Blumont is seeking international French-speaking experts and/or local nationals in the above-mentioned West African countries with experience in the following technical and project management areas:
Technical Expertise:
- Governance
- Transition and/or Conflict Stabilization
- Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism
- Climate smart agriculture
- Infrastructure/construction management (e.g. vertical structures, roads, water, and/or electrical networks)
- Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
- Humanitarian Assistance response (e.g. food security, protection, shelter, and/or livelihoods)
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning
- Peacebuilding and/or Community Development
- Strategic communications
- Media
Project Management Expertise:
- Chief of Party
- Deputy Chief of Party
- Director of Finance and Administration
- Grants Manager/Specialist
- Program Development
- Finance Manager/Specialist
- Procurement Manager/Specialist
- Operations Manager/Specialist
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience living and/or working in the West Africa region, specifically Senegal, Mali, Benin, and/or Cote d’Ivoire required
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant sector and/or role.
- University/College or equivalent level degree, preferably in a relevant field of expertise. Advanced degree preferred and may substitute for years of experience
- Indicate availability for short-term or long-term assignments, depending on proposal and program requirements
- Activity management skills are desirable
- Passion for strategic analysis, problem solving, consensus building, networking, organizational improvement, creative thinking, and an ability to manage change
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills and ability to build strong relationships with host governments’ institutions, local and international NGOs, and donors
- Fluency in French is required. Fluency in English may also be required for some positions. Fluency in English and French is preferred.
