Call for Specialists At Solina Group

Solina Health is a management and healthcare consulting firm that works with businesses, governments, researchers, and development organisations to develop innovative solutions that address pressing healthcare challenges.

The overall objective of the proposed project is to carry out the full-scale implementation of malaria interventions in Ekiti state.

Hiring for all positions is contingent upon a grant award to Solina and funding availability.

We require specialists with expertise in the following areas:

Manager – Grievance Redress Mechanism Education and Experience/qualifications:

  1. Minimum of a graduate degree in relevant social sciences or equivalent, a post-graduate degree will be an added advantage;
  2. At least 5 years of practical experience in national and/or international environmental and social safeguard assessments;
  3. Expertise in conflict resolution, including setting up grievance mechanisms and negotiating solutions and participatory approaches to conflict resolution;
  4. Understanding of traditional or customary means of conflict resolution and/or grievance redress at the service provision/utilization and at the community levels in Nigeria;
  5. Specialized in social risks and issues related to conflicts over land use, natural resources management and services provision/utilization;
  6. vi. Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English, and fluency in other Nigerian languages is an added advantage.

Manager – Health Care Waste Management (HCWM) Education and Experience/qualifications:

  1. Minimum of a graduate degree in Environmental or Medical Sciences or any other science course with a master’s degree in any of these courses (Public Health, Environmental/Medical Sciences, any other relevant courses)
  2. At least 5 years of progressive experience in developing training manuals or other training documents for programs/projects funded by multilateral agencies specifically on hazardous/HCWM;
  3. Previous experience in the preparation of HCWM technical instruments recognized by the World Bank, strong country knowledge and of World Bank safeguard policies, experience in hazardous/HCWM activities;
  4. Good technical and organizational background in performing hazardous/HCWM for programs/projects;
  5. Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English, and fluency in other Nigerian languages is an added advantage.

Program Lead – Community-Based Activities Education and Experience/qualifications:

  1. A Master’s Degree in relevant fields (public health/epidemiology/medicine/nursing/parasitology/tropical medicine);
  2. At least 7 years of demonstrated working experience in planning and management of malaria programming in Nigeria;
  3. Demonstrated experience in community-based approaches for malaria prevention and control include and behaviour change communication;
  4. Familiarity with analytical tools and ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical approaches for operational work;
  5. Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English, and fluency in other Nigerian languages is an added advantage.
