CANADEM is recruiting for its Access Officer Roster At CANADEM

ANADEM is seeking seasoned professionals with previous relevant experience for its Access Officer roster. CANADEM is a Canadian based NGO that works with various UN agencies through the standby partnership programme. We regularly deploy candidates in various areas of expertise all around the globe. Registration with CANADEM is always free. We are looking to expand our pool of experts for potential/upcoming opportunities with different UN agencies field offices. Most positions are for 3 to 6 month deployments, with some up to 12 months.

Professional experience

  • Frontline complex emergency experience in operations with significant access constraints and complicated armed actor engagements, incl. direction negotiation with State and non-State armed actors.
  • Previous experience serving as an operational focal point for the conduct of access negotiation and facilitation, and related operations in the area of responsibility while also liaising with CMCOs to ensure sustained and principled humanitarian access.
  • Experience providing updates and analysis pertaining to humanitarian access situations, including updating access monitoring frameworks and access snapshots.
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to start work within 1 month
