General purpose of the position

Under the direct supervision of the CCCM Manager, the CCCM FP oversees community mobilization and supports CCCM community activities. This includes information sharing campaigns, implementation of complaints and feedback mechanism in the camp. Further, the role holder ensures that vulnerable groups and people with specific needs are represented and participate in CCCM activities. S/he fosters the capacity growth of the Camp Committee Members in community mobilization, to ensure that they can effectively disseminate information to the camp population, advocate for the needs of their own community and influence humanitarian assistance delivery.

Tasks and Main Responsibilities

· Supports in carrying out site level camp committee mapping for all sites within the camp.

· Ensures all new arriving refugees are registered and persons with specific needs such unaccompanied minors, separated children and children at risk are identified and attended to;

· Assist in the development of effective referral mechanisms in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Carrying out, monitor and follow up on referrals.

· Conducts surveys, assessments and continues to monitor social change and new social information relevant to community empowerment.

· Updates public information boards with site management and partner information.

· Supports and collaborate with CCCM team in site management activities;

· Monitors the living conditions in vulnerable population at the reception centre, define gaps and prioritize needs;

· Alerts the Centre supervisor on movement trends (arrivals and departures), and any incident or urgent needs to be addressed in order to ensure a rapid response;

· Collects information on regular basis and refer to partners, if relevant, to address an issue in a timely manner.

· Follows up to ensure matters related to beneficiary needs are been resolved;

· Reports information timely and send all data on weekly basis;

· Supports in organization of meetings with authorities and community groups under the supervision of Reception centre supervisor.

· Supports in maintaining site information management systems and monitor service provision including cross-cutting services such as prevention and response to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), health, psychosocial support among others in all sectors of the site according to guidelines, standards and indicators.

· Assists in the design, preparation and dissemination of IEC material

· Ensures compliance to INTERSOS internal procedures and donor procedure.

· Any other task, assigned by the supervisor.

Position Requirements

Professional requirements

· Minimum of a diploma in a relevant course.

· Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a humanitarian/recovery context

Personal requirements*

· Good communication skills and ability to conduct training and awareness.

· Understanding of gender, protection and human rights.

· Knowledge of the local languages spoken in the operation area is an asset.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective and working relations with national staff members and other stakeholders.

· Experience living and working in cross-cultural, multi-sector, insecure, and/or remote environments.
