Civil Peace Service (CPS) Advisor (m/f/d) for environmental Peacebuilding and organisational development

Field of activity

The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a programme for preventing violence and promoting peace in crisis and conflict regions. In Lebanon, the CPS supports Civil society organisations, individuals and educational institutions in the planning and implementation of projects in the fields of peacebuilding and conflict sensitivity.

Your tasks

  • Support partner organisations in the implementation of eco-tourism, environmental awareness, and environmental peacebuilding projects
  • Advise partner organisations on methods of civil conflict transformation, conflict sensitive project planning and organisational development
  • Identify potential local and international partners, networking and establish new partnerships
  • Training on context analyses, actor mapping and defining outcomes, outputs, etc.
  • Support in project proposal and report writing
  • Support partner organisations in increasing their outreach through social media, newsletter, etc.

Your profile

  • University degree in humanities, social sciences, or social work
  • Knowledge in the field of conflict-sensitive project work in an international context
  • Experience in organisational development
  • Experience in climate/environmental education
  • Experience with facilitating dialogue and/or community-based peacebuilding projects
  • Previous experience in the region desirable
  • Ability to work in a team, in a creative, partnership- and process-oriented way, as well as resilience and high frustration tolerance
  • Fluent English skills; fluent Arabic skills desired
