Overview:

IBTCI is seeking a Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting Coordinator/Report Officer for an anticipated multi-year Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Activity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The purpose of the USAID MEL Activity is to provide monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), and collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA) support services to USAID/Bosnia’s technical offices and implementing partners.

This position is contingent upon USAID award and will be based in Sarajevo,Bosnia and Herzegovina. Local applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • The primary task of the CLA Coordinator/Report Officer is to coordinate, track, and report on learning activities and training events conducted by the project, supporting the workflow between project management, the local learning and training partner, and USAID.
  • Track all activity tasks against the approved project work plan to ensure resources are identified and scheduled as needed.
  • Participate in the training and coaching of local partners, Field Supervisors, team leaders and monitors on tools/protocols and MV&R processes on an ongoing basis.
  • Oversee the logistics, preparation of materials, and implementation of all learning and training events.
  • Manage information for quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Coordinate social media reporting and the development of information products.
  • They will also support activities related to pre-deployment, deployment, post- deployment and reporting, support on ad hoc assignments as needed, and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • A least three years of experience with coordinating training and event management.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve on a continuous basis.
  • Experience providing administrative support to teams, a proactive team player.
  • Interpersonal skills and personal maturity, tact, courtesy, patience, adaptability, initiative, cooperativeness, and resourcefulness.
  • Oral and written fluency in the local language and English is required.
  • Manage information for quarterly and annual reporting. Coordinate social media reporting and the development of information products.
  • Previous work in monitoring and evaluation is encouraged.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences and Behavioral Sciences or related fields with strong knowledge of communications, training, and group facilitation. A master’s degree is preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Background in journalism is desirable.
  • Experience in using social media.
  • Prior USAID experience is preferred.

Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.

Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: Travel within country may be required.
