DRC’s Commercial Contracts team provides expert oversight and support to our country operations in managing and implementing commercial contracts. Actively seeking new opportunities, the team directly supports the bidding and delivery processes, playing a crucial role in generating unrestricted funding for ongoing investment in delivering assistance to displaced individuals.
About the job
In 2023, DRC was awarded a prime contract for the UK’s Integrated Security Fund (ISF) framework and secured partnership roles in consortia for two UK FCDO Global Development Delivery (GDD) framework lots – Lot 2 (Humanitarian and Health) and Lot 7 (Conflict and Governance). To support and expand our involvement in these and other contracts, DRC is seeking a dynamic and strategic Framework Coordinator to join our commercial contracts team at our headquarters in Copenhagen. The key duties and responsibilities of this position are to:
- Coordinate and oversee DRC’s participation in existing framework contracts, including the ISF (previously Conflict Security and Stability Fund (CSSF)) framework and GDD lots, ensuring timely and effective responses to call-down opportunities, as well as continued compliance with framework requirements.
- Identify and secure new contract opportunities with other institutional donors, enhancing DRC’s portfolio and positioning for future commercial contracts.
- Set up systems and procedures that facilitate DRC’s positioning and bidding for commercial contracts.
- Contribute to the overall growth and sustainability of DRC’s commercial contracts portfolio, aligning with organizational goals and values.
About you
To be successful in this role you should be a proactive and adaptable individual with experience in the commercial development sector. Ideally with the ability to deliver well-structured operational support and demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Your proactive approach and flexibility will be essential in navigating the dynamic challenges of our humanitarian mission and purpose.

Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- At least 5 years experience in contract management, business development related to commercial contracts and/or framework contracts within the humanitarian or development sector.
- As a minimum educated to bachelor degree level in relevant subject area
- Strong understanding of framework contracts and commercial contracting processes.
- Ability to manage complex contracts and multi-stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent proposal writing and project management skills.
- Professional Proficiency in English.
Desirable
- Professional Proficiency in other languages would be an asset.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of working in Humanitarian Disarmament & Peacebuilding or similar.
We offer
- Contract length: 2 years with possibility for extension

- Start date: 01.10.24
- The position is on fixed terms as it is funded by contract profit that cannot at this time be confirmed.
- Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC AC (agreement for academics). This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.
