Background
Farsight Africa Group seeks an experienced Communication and Change Management Lead to oversee and implement communication strategies and change management processes for an initiative in Somalia. The consultant will ensure effective stakeholder engagement, smooth transition to new systems, and sustained organizational support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communication Strategy Development: Design and execute a comprehensive communication strategy tailored to project goals and diverse stakeholders. Develop key messages, materials, and channels to promote awareness and engagement.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate collaboration with government ministries, private sector entities, and community representatives to ensure alignment and inclusivity. Organize forums, workshops, and meetings to gather feedback and address concerns.
3. Change Management Planning: Develop and implement a change management framework to guide stakeholders through system adoption and transition.Identify resistance points and develop strategies to address them effectively.
4. Capacity Building: Conduct training sessions and workshops to prepare stakeholders for system adoption and utilization. Build internal communication capabilities to sustain project outcomes.
5. Monitoring and Reporting: Track progress of communication and change management activities and adjust strategies as needed. Provide regular reports with insights, challenges, and recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Organizational Design and Management, ICT, or any related field.
• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in IT Systems Training, preferably in tax administration or at least in public financial management agencies.
• Communication, Change Management, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in leading communication and change management initiatives, preferably in Somalia’s public Sector or similar contexts.
• Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement and designing change management frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Somalia’s cultural, political, and economic dynamics.
• Fluency in Somali and English is mandatory.

• Stakeholder feedback reports with actionable recommendations.
