Context
Are you well structured, analytical, strategic in approach, service-oriented, and with solid experience in analysing and presenting communication and information data?
We are looking for a service-oriented, Communication and Reporting Adviser who will join NRC’s Risk Management Section.
The Risk Management Section comprises technical specialists working on risk management, compliance, internal controls, legal issues, data protection and investigation of staff misconduct.
As the Communication and Reporting Adviser your main role will be to advise and support the Section with information management and communication internally and externally, and the Risk Management Director in providing management information and analysis on areas covered by the section to the Senior Management Group and the Board. You will also be responsible for key administrative strategic support.
What you will do
Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Advise technical specialists on communication materials and write regular updates of section work
- Further develop and support section staff with updating the Risk management communication sites.
- Gather and analyse data, and present and advice on trends relevant to the section work
- Develop “user friendly” information management reports, including data visualisation tools such as Power BI dashboards.
- Track and follow-up on the Risk Management Section workplan, involvement in management responses, and contribution to Strategic Initiatives, including facilitate and follow-up on relevant meetings
- Keep global oversight of donor reporting of cases of alleged misconduct
What you will bring
- University degree in information management, statistics, data analysis, administration or similar.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- High degree of service-mindedness.
- Discretion and good judgement in relation to sensitive issues.
- Competent ICT user (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT, SharePoint, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualisation tools (Power BI, MS Visio etc.).
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential; knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic is an asset.
- Ability to communicate complex or technical issues in a clear and engaging way
- Excellent presentation and writing skills
