CONTEXT
Doctors of the World Italy is the Italian section of the international network of Médecins du Monde (MdM). The association was established in December 2020 and formally joined the MdM network in October 2021. MdM Italia pursues social solidarity goals and acts to guarantee the right and access to health in Italy and around the world. The lines of intervention pursued by the association to date are access to health for migrant people arriving and in transit in Italy and vulnerable groups living in situations of housing and environmental precariousness, with a specific focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights .
Given the path of growth and development that the Organization is experiencing, a figure capable of guaranteeing maximum visibility of MdM and its interventions, both through offline and online channels, is necessary. The figure will report to the Executive Director.
RESPONSIBILITY’
- Develop digital and creative strategies on social channels to promote the association’s vision and mission
- Manage communication campaigns
- Management of the Organization’s social channels
- Monitor performance and collaborate on the production of analytical reports
- Definition and implementation of effective short and long term editorial plans
- Management of internal communication within the Organization
- Support for the work of the Press Office
- Coordination with the fundraising team to always guarantee strong synergy between the various activities
- Production of communication tools
- Coordination with the foreign sections of the Doctors of the World Network
- Management of photographers, videomakers and journalists for the collection of content from projects, both Italian and foreign.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- At least five years of experience in communications
- Experience in the non-profit sector and in international organizations
- Knowledge of the main Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, LinkedIn, Twitter) and the related Business Managers
- Good writing, re-elaboration and content adaptation skills
- Experience in event management
- Numerical analysis ability
- Ability to work in a team also with colleagues from other areas
- Ability to organize work and establish an order of priorities
- Sharing the mission of Doctors of the World
- Knowledge of graphic processing tools (e.g. Canva.com, Photoshop, etc.)
- Professional knowledge of English
- Knowledge of French is a plus
