HEKS/EPER, Swiss Church Aid, supports projects designed to combat hunger, poverty and injustice in over 30 countries on four continents. HEKS/EPER also provides worldwide humanitarian assistance for victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts and supports the Church’s diaconal work in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. In Switzerland, HEKS/EPER champions the rights and causes of refugees and socially disadvantaged people. Through its development and social policy work in the fields of climate justice, access to land and food, migration, and integration, HEKS/EPER strives for systemic change – globally and in Switzerland.
We are looking for a communication Manager who will support the HEKS/EPER response to the Ukraine crisis. He/She maintains clear communications goals related to the crisis, coordinates with communications staff across the HEKS/EPER Offices and networks in Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and Hungary to help promote the work of HEKS/EPER response to Ukraine crisis in keeping with the organization’s communications standards and policy. He/She works closely with HEKS/EPER Whole of Ukraine response staff as well as colleagues in the Head Office Communications department.

Your main responsibilities:
Humanitarian communications content production
- You plan, elaborate and deliver communications content on Whole of Ukraine response in HEKS/EPER Countries of interventions (Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and Hungary) in collaboration with Country Offices and partner organisations
- you develop communications content around HEKS/EPER role in the Ukraine crisis, promoting our work. This includes blogs, photos, videos, media and social media materials, case studies, fact sheets, dash boards, and other communication documents relating to our humanitarian response
- You ensure a timely pipeline of updated materials and information needed for communications, advocacy and fundraising outreach
Reporting
- You participate in the preparation of internal and external reports
Safety and Security
- You share any security information with the Regional Coordinator
General
- You assist the Regional Coordinator Whole of Ukraine in liaisons with headquarters
- You deliver high quality results in line with the terms of reference and Code of conduct
Profile:
- Degree in marketing, communications, or other relate fields, with knowledge of communication and marketing principles
- Experience in communications, social media, or journalism, preferably in an international organization
- Professional work experience in communications and marketing or public relations
- Experience in designing, editing and producing publications
- Excellent writing skills with fluent spoken and written English Fluent
- Knowledge in Romanian, Ukrainian or Russian languages will get preference.
- The position requires ability and willingness to travel internationally across the multi-country response, and domestically.
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships across different teams
- Willingness to work as an enthusiastic part of a team, as a primary catalyst of information flow
- Able to self-manage, be proactive, work under pressure and meet deadlines
