Job Title: Communication Officer

MedGlobal is a global humanitarian non-profit organization providing medical and health education services to people in need, including refugees and displaced persons, in disaster and underserved regions. The organization is composed of medical and public health professionals of diverse backgrounds.
JOB SUMMARY
The Communications Officer will lead efforts to communicate MedGlobal’s programs and humanitarian impact in Lebanon. This role involves implementing a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy, including multimedia production and media engagement. The officer will also be responsible for raising awareness of health and humanitarian issues in Lebanon and mobilizing support.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take high-quality photos and videos regularly of country projects and the context, ensuring visual content is compelling and aligns with the organization’s messaging.
- Produce a range of content (blog posts, briefings, fact sheets, presentations, reports) focused on Lebanon.
- Manage communications assets and partner with external vendors for high-quality materials.
- Support online fundraising campaigns and public-facing online events.
- Monitor digital media trends and thematic public health issues relevant to Lebanon.
- Provide training and guidance on communications best practices. Analyze data to inform communications strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related fields.
- 1-2 years of experience in communications, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Submit a portfolio of photos and videos.
- Knowledge of design and digital marketing tools (Adobe, WordPress, Canva, MailChimp).
- Video editing skills.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic.
- Understanding of humanitarian issues, especially related to health in Lebanon.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Lebanese nationality is required.
