Background

The Communication Task Force Coordination Officer will be responsible for consolidating and standardizing outputs from the country offices, enforcing internal processes and guidelines, and ensuring contractual agreements with partners related to communications and visibility are respected. The Communication Task Force Coordination Officer will report to the communication and outreach manager.

The Communication Task Force Coordination Officer will have working relationships with Communication Officers and and Focal Points from the country offices and work in close collaboration with the operations and desks coordinators at HQ level.

The position is based in IMMAP’s office in Marseille, under the supervision of the Global Comms’ and Outreach manager. The Communication Task Force Coordination Officer will be part of a small team of 5, supporting and coordinating iMMAP’s communication and visibility efforts.

Description of Duties

1. Consolidate and standardize outputs from country offices:

➢ Coordinate with country offices and regional desks to ensure all communications materials are of high quality, accurate, timely and consistent

➢ Ensure all communications materials are compliant with iMMAP policy and standards

➢Monitor and review communications materials to ensure consistency and accuracy

2. Enforce internal processes and guidelines:

➢ Develop and update internal processes and guidelines for communication materials

➢ Train and coach staff on proper implementation of internal processes and guidelines

➢ Monitor implementation of internal processes and guidelines

3. Ensure contractual agreements with partners are respected:

➢ Develop and maintain relationships with partners

➢ Ensure compliance of contractual agreements with partners

➢ Monitor and review communications activities of partners

4. Other duties as assigned by the communication and outreach manager

➢- support the global communication and outreach team in developing and implementing the global communication and outreach strategy.

Requirements

➢ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field from a recognized institution,

➢ At least two years of professional experience with development or humanitarian organizations,

➢ Professional working proficiency (verbal and written) in English and another UN language. Arabic would be a plus,

➢ Proven graphic design experience: information management visualization, articles, reports, and social media,

➢ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

➢ Full command of Adobe Creative software packages, particularly Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom,

➢ Proficiency in the use of WordPress development site, experience using various plug-ins such as Elementor and Slider Revolution,

➢ Experience with Twitter Bootstrap or Material UI is a plus, good command of using social medias,

➢ The ability to appropriately communicate (verbal, written, and visual) information to technical and non-technical people,

➢ Well-organized with high attention to detail and strong coordination skills,

➢ Strategic and creative mindset.

➢ Consultant’s fees scale: $ 2,500 USD – $ 3,000 USD.
