Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is recruiting for a Communications Specialist – Marketing and Donor Relations, who executes communications plans in support of Habitat’s partnerships in the Europe and Middle East region, deepening relationships with donors and other key regional partners and building Habitat’s brand strategically with targeted audiences to help enable fundraising growth. This position will liaise with donors/partners and their communications/PR teams to develop communication plans that help promote the partnerships both internally and externally. They will identify opportunities with each donor, coordinating closely with the Europe and Middle East Resource Development team as well as the Global Communications department to identify opportunities such as press releases and news media outreach, social media posts, and events.
This position will develop and execute an annual partnership communications plan in support of Resource Development in the Europe and Middle East region, growing interest from potential donors through communications that help leverage current donor partnerships. This position will support development of content for use by Habitat and/or our partners in the region, proactively sharing these assets with both current partners and with fundraisers to use for engaging new potential supporters.
This position may based in Slovakia, UK, Switzerland or Belgium.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and executing an annual Europe and Middle East partnership communication plan that includes:
1. Communication plans with donors/partners and their communication/PR teams:
– Identify opportunities to promote our partnership with each donor both internally and externally.
– Write and finalize press releases, social media posts, online and printed articles, etc.
– Identify existing events which have a communications/visibility opportunity, identify speaking opportunities for Habitat’s senior members of staff/SMEs, etc. – both external and also internally within the partners/donors etc. – Support creation of visual material.
2. Grow interest from potential donors
– Use current donor partnerships to enable us to be more visible to other potential donors, ensuring donor partnership plans have an angle that focuses on engaging other donors.
– Develop, maintain and liaise with specific media outlets to promote our work with a targeted audience.
– Collaborate with Associate Director of Celebrity And Entertainment Relations to engage well-known and influential persons that can build our brand in targeted markets.
3. Oversee and ensure presentations, proposals and reports going to donors are of a high quality and done in a timely fashion
– Working with the donor relations team, ensure proposal, reports, presentations are of a high standard, visibly appealing to the audience and done in a timely manner.
4. Gather key donor/partner communication content and distribute to key stakeholders.
– Be on top of new photos / stories / videos and other assets from our partners/donors that come out and offer them proactively to us as resources for prospects.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
* University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
* 3+ years of experience with partnership communications in the corporate sector.
* Proficiency in English.
* Strong organizational and analytical skills.
* Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in email, internet, word-processing, database and spreadsheet maintenance, and PowerPoint.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to communicate and affirm the Christian roots and principles of HFHI
