PAC is an active NGO established in 2012, registered in Turkey, active in NWS, with other small operations offices in both Yemen and Sudan.

In NWS; PAC is a leading organization in both the health and Nutrition sectors through several central programs that work to improve the resilience of crisis-affected communities in NWS.

PAC’s programs always aimed to build and support the active health and nutrition systems in the target areas through maintaining a high level of integration across several sectors and leads central services to facilitate the provision of the service that other actors are running in NWS.

• Position: Community Health Worker

• REPORTS TO: Project Manager

• PLACE OF WORK: NW Syria

• LANGUAGE: Arabic.

  • Position Overview:

Help the program in early detection of malnutrition cases by reaching as many of the target community as possible and spreading health and nutrition awareness

Main Responsibility and main support required:

-Identify high-risk cases and transfer them to specialized centers

-Nutrition screening of children from 6 to 59 months

-Nutrition screening of the Pregnant and Lactating Women PLW.

-Collect the relevant health and nutrition information.

-Documentation on records

-Determining signs of violence in children and women.

-Raising awareness of health-care services provided at the health center

-Encourage demand (nutrition services, family planning services and reproductive health /clinics/vaccine)

-dissemination of health messages (IYCF , Hygiene, Covid 19, Pregnant Feeding, Disease Prevention, Group Awareness Sessions)

-Follow public safety procedures while dealing with beneficiaries

-Attend scheduled training as needed.

-Commitment to the organization’s uniforms

-Maintaining the dignity of beneficiaries and the confidentiality of information

Qualifications:

  • General high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in nutrition and health.
  • Two years of experience in humanitarian work.
  • Training courses in related fields (CHW, IYCF, CMAM) Knowledge of working on data collection applications.
