Background:
People in Need (PIN) is one of the largest non-profit organizations in Central and Eastern Europe active in humanitarian and development aid, human rights and social inclusion. In 2020, more than 1600 employees worked in our Humanitarian and Development Aid Section in 23 countries (Asia, Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe). Our growing team in Prague (with a turnover of more than 90 million EUR per year) is looking for a new colleague to become Compliance Officer for our country programmes.

About the position:
Work in the area of various institutional donors´ rules (USAID, European Commission, Czech Development Agency, UN agencies etc.), provide compliance support to different PIN Relief and Development section country programmes and help with the coordination of external audits:
- Participation on the coordination of the institutional donors´ audits
- Analysis of the institutional donors´ conditions, new contracts and regulations
- Support through email of PIN country programmes
- Trainings on donors´ rules
- Review of internal rules and procedures (areas of anti-terrorism, AML, GDPR, finance and administrative procedures, tax legislation etc)
- Compliance with national laws
- Internal controls
- Ad-hoc research
- Cooperation with other departments (especially the internal audit, finance managers, legal department)
Main requirements:
- University degree, welcomed experience and interest in finance or economy
- Previous experience in a compliance, institutional donors, finance or audit position
- Communicative level of English (minimum of active B2)
- Experience with project management is very welcome
- Keen eye on details and passion for working with regulatory and compliance topics
- Resilience to stress connected to audits and quickly changing environment
- Have analytical and logical skills
- Basic Excel skills
- Training/coaching skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and patiently with different groups of people and to respect the different cultural background (including donors, auditors etc.)
- Ability to work independently and effectively
- Ability to deal with complex compliance agenda
- Speaking Czech language is an advantage
- Knowledge of SAP, MS Dynamics Nav or other ERP is an advantage
- For expatriate staff: Having a valid work permit for the Czech Republic
