TITLE: Project Management Advisor (North-South Volunteering, Honduras)

SUMMARY OF THE OFFER
Under the responsibility of the coordinator of the volunteer cooperation program (PCV) and in close collaboration with the program manager and the regional manager, the volunteer exercises his or her mandate with the partner organization, the for the Integral Development of Women and the Family (UDIMUF), to ensure the implementation of capacity building activities within the framework of the voluntary cooperation program. The incumbent participates in PCV activities in order to achieve the expected and planned results of the program during his or her tenure with UDIMUF. The incumbent also contributes to the preparation of reports and communication articles relating to the activities developed and implemented during his or her mandate.

ABOUT THE PARTNER:

UDIMUF is a non-governmental, non-profit women’s organization whose mission is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of girls, adolescents and women, through the recognition, development and strengthening of their capacities, by providing them with spaces for political participation, citizenship, promotion, popularization and advocacy to guarantee the right to a life free from gender-based violence.

RESPONSIBILITIES
✓ Ensure the implementation of project implementation activities and establish a relationship of trust with the partner organization, UDIMUF.
✓ Participate in the initial mapping of actors and update the profile of the child protection system in the country of intervention
✓ Support the partner organization in the development of an internal project management model, as well as application of monitoring, evaluation and learning tools
✓ Provide technical support to the partner organization through the development of training in project management
✓ Technical support to the organization in order to provide guides, tools and training in project management and
✓ Provide the partner organization with technical and methodological support for the development and implementation of standardized procedures for the detection, identification, protection and comprehensive care of victims in the context of the fight against sexual exploitation of children and human trafficking;
✓ Support the organization in the development and implementation of a system for monitoring actions in the territory served by UDIMUF for the prevention of commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
✓ Support the strengthening of staff and the organization with tools for planning, monitoring, evaluation and analysis of data collected in the care of victims.
✓ Provide technical support to the partner organization in the documentation, management and systematization of information and good practices.
✓ Support the partner organization in the implementation of social laboratory activities.
✓ Write articles on the work carried out, the situation of children’s rights in the country of intervention and document their experience of voluntary cooperation.
✓ Submit progress reports on expected activities in collaboration with the partner organization.
✓ Support the strengthening of the partner organization in terms of work organization, information management, communication and other activities related to its expertise.
✓ Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in project management (other academic training at equivalent or higher level may be applicable if applicable for the position)
✓ Minimum of 2 to 3 years of significant professional experience in project management
✓ Knowledge and Interest in children’s rights, with particular attention to child protection and
juvenile justice systems The person should be able to write, revise and comment on texts in Spanish.
✓ Proficiency in the Microsoft Office 2010 suite (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
✓ Knowledge of project management and/or SEA programs
✓ Strong analytical and writing skills
✓ Sensitivity to cultural, gender, ethnic and sexual diversity differences
✓ Ability to work in a team and independently and multi-task.
✓ Available to travel to Honduras.
