VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS
PROJECT TITLE: SRHR HIV-KNOWS NO BORDERS
ORGANIZATION: SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL
CONSULTANCY: VIRTUAL FACILITATOR AND RAPPORTEUR
BACKGROUND
The SRHR-HIV Knows No Borders Programme which is implemented in six countries in Southern Africa region (Lesotho, the Kingdom of Eswatini, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and Republic of South Africa with support from the Netherlands Government, seeks to improve access to SRHR and HIV services and information to the least served migrants and migration-affected communities along cross-border and migration corridors in the region. The project contributes to improve health outcomes among migrants, Adolescents and Young people (AYPs) and Sex workers (SWs) and migration-affected communities by promoting positive healthy sexual relationships that can contribute to reducing new HIV infections and improving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) indicators by reducing prevalence of sexually transmitted infections (STI), teenage pregnancy, maternal mortality rate (MMR), unmet need for family planning (FP), increasing the use of modern contraception and greater freedom of choice about sexuality.
The program responds to critical gaps and weaknesses in the SRHR response at regional and country level by strengthening community-based response to HIV and SRH in the targeted migration affected communities. One of the challenges experienced is individuals who fail to follow up on treatment owing to challenges related to human mobility and migration.

- 4th Regional Technical Consultation for the SRHR-HIV Knows No Borders Programme (DURATION: 25-26 November, 2021).
