Job Description
In partnership with the Olympic Refuge Foundation, the donor for its Advancing Cohesion in Communities through Engagement in Structured Sports (ACCESS) project, Right To Play is conducting the implementation of program activities. For the purposes of transparency and monitoring and evaluation, all activities which are implemented in the field need to be documented using photograph evidence. This evidence will be gathered, processed, and delivered to project staff, who will then upload the content to Right To Play’s reporting system. Right To Play is thus looking to hire a consultant photographer for three months’ duration, until the end of 2021, to document the ACCESS project activities.
Key Responsibilities
The consultant Photographer will:
- Produce photographic and video coverage as directed by Right To Play.
- Collaborate with the Project Officer, MEL Officer, Communications Officer, and members of the production team to agree upon the project timeline, deliverables, file formats, image/video quality, and other points of importance.
- Coordinate with the Project Officer to ensure adherence to field best practices.
- Make alterations to work practices and images/footage in response to feedback from the Project Officer and Communications Officer.
- Provide Right To Play with a selection of the best images and video footage at the end of each working day, resized, when necessary, for transmission.
- Assess and resolve technical issues in the field.
- Work according to the timeline agreed with Right To Play.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills
· At least two years’ professional experience working as a photographer/videographer (a Bachelor’s degree/diploma in videography, TV/film, media, fine arts, photography, journalism, communications or other related discipline is desirable).
· Should have a Jordanian residency.
· Demonstrable relative experience in similar projects/activities in a variety of settings.
· Knowledge of field production techniques and standards, with strong understanding of cameras, lenses, audio recording equipment, and lighting.
· High level of spatial awareness and a keen eye for visualizing and shooting.
· High degree of creativity and strong attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Excellent planning and organizing skills as well as a high degree of flexibility.
· Ability to work in a diverse multi-cultural team.
· Ability to meet tight deadlines, work well under pressure, and deliver products to specified technical requirements.
· Previous experience working in a development or humanitarian environment is desirable.
