Coordinator – Systems and Accreditation At CARE Australia

About the Role

The Program Coordinator Accreditation & Systems role will be responsible for developing, monitoring and embedding systems which support the delivery of quality programs in accordance with CARE International, DFAT accreditation and ACFID Code requirements. The role will play a key role in supporting the DFAT re-accreditation process and will work in collaboration with colleagues across International Programs as well as other departments such as finance, HR and risk and compliance, to prepare for and achieve re-accreditation. The role will support the transition to digital grant management platform being used to support program oversight and risk management once the overarching programming system has been developed and embedded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, improve and update programming systems, policies, guidance and tools that support the delivery of quality programs in accordance with CARE International Code and Policies, DFAT accreditation and ACFID Code requirements
  • Develop programmatic risk management systems that enable active risk management at the project, portfolio and enterprise level in collaboration with the Director of IP
  • In collaboration with content owners in Enabling Services (ES) and Capability and Impact Unit (CIU), develop learning materials and provide training and coaching to ensure systems and policies are embedded and capabilities across the organisation are maintained within CARE Australia, CARE country offices and where CARE is working directly with local stakeholders
  • Develop and manage knowledge management systems that enable resources and learning materials to be easily accessed
  • Manage processes to support the transition to a digital grant management platform

Ideally you will have:

  • Significant and advanced understanding of high quality and robust program/ project management systems in humanitarian and development contexts and experience developing and rolling out program and risk management systems in a direct implementation and partnership model of operation
  • Significant and advanced understanding of financial management in program management, risk and fraud management
  • An understanding of Australian Government development and humanitarian program culture, systems and procedures and experience in DFAT accreditation/ the ACFID code of conduct and key policy areas
  • Experience in training and development of learning materials
  • Strong communication, negotiation and written skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage workflows and balance competing priorities to ensure timely processing to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to challenges, to solve problems and to work effectively in a small, diverse and busy team environment with minimal supervision
  • A commitment to gender equality and programs that empower women and girls and a commitment to the protection of children and the prevention of sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse
