About the Opportunity.

RI is looking for a unique Corporate & Foundations Partnership Director with an entrepreneurial spirit and excitement to build a new team, develop new collaborative opportunities with experts across the organization and lead efforts to identify, cultivate and grow Relief International’s engagement with mid to large size private partners. The Corporate & Foundations Partnership Director will be an experienced leader, with excitement to drive new areas of opportunity leading to scalable, global change in the countries and regions where we work.

This role will align closely with the Philanthropy and Communications Department to expand RI’s donor base and unrestricted funding opportunities, primarily across the USA, with support to the UK, Europe and beyond. This role will partner closely with the CDMO, CEO and Program Development Team.

Your responsibilities will be

  • Work closely with CDMO to develop and deliver the Corporation & Foundations development strategy targeting large scale foundations and corporate partners primarily in the US, and Europe, in alignment with RI’s strategy.
  • Develop clear systems and ways of working to collaborate with Country Directors, Regional Directors and Philanthropy Team to identify and develop winning program funding proposals to raise income, increase donor file (from employee giving programs) and global brands in partnership with foundations and corporate donors.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to develop proposals from inception to submission that may include design, writing and editing as well as budget development.
  • Coordinate closely with RI’s Awards Management Unit to lead on vetting and due diligence of new Corporate and Foundations partners to enable RI to receive new funding opportunities.

About You.

You will bring the following experience and skills.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing Corporate and Foundations donor partnership strategy
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging individuals (prospects, donors, key contacts) with the organization and its leadership to inspire and deepen their support including working with senior level executives and board members
  • Demonstrated experience in pitching to senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the full program development cycle and in-depth proposal development
  • Proven track record of raising funds with Corporate and Foundations and building relationships
  • Successfully worked across cultures, teams, and technical areas
  • Demonstrated self-starter with a resourceful and entrepreneurial approach and building capacity of teams to strengthen organisational ability to engage with large Corporations and Foundations
  • Experienced with internal networking – to mobilize the right internal team members to best engage donor interest.
  • Excellent communication, representation and writing skills with proven ability to tell a compelling story
  • An engaging approach, able to infuse joy and a can-do spirit while keeping the team members focused on deliverables
