The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration of two years. At the end of the initial two-year contractual period, there are good prospects for conversion of the contract from a fixed-term to an open-ended employment contract. Employment location will be Bonn or Berlin, Germany.
As Corporate Compliance Expert, you will contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of a strong integrity culture, which is essential to our work. Your work will focus on anti-corruption, anti-fraud and anti-terrorism measures, as well as the implementation of relevant training. In addition to consolidating and maintaining existing corporate compliance structures and expanding the organisation’s corporate compliance management system, you will be responsible for maintaining, coordinating, implementing and monitoring Welthungerhilfe’s relevant corporate compliance activities at a global level. Your responsibilities
- Continuous improvement of Welthungerhilfe’s corporate compliance programme and corporate compliance management system, taking into account new corporate compliance trends, including the design of guidelines and processes, as well as training at head office and country office level
- Regular reporting to the Executive Board on the Corporate Compliance status and associated risks
- Monitoring, documenting, coordinating and steering Welthungerhilfe’s Corporate Compliance activities
- Cooperating and advising regional directorates, departments and country offices on compliance and implementation of Corporate Compliance measures
- Processing and investigating incoming complaints and information from stakeholders and whistleblowers
- Ensuring efficient and effective corporate compliance communication within Welthungerhilfe
Your profile
- A Relevant (law or compliance-oriented) university or polytechnical degree or comparable relevant professional experience
- At least five years of professional experience in a similar, corporate compliance-oriented position, ideally in an international context
- Experience with whistleblower systems or other complaint handling mechanisms
- Sound knowledge of laws and standards in the area of corruption & fraud prevention, terrorism & money laundering prevention (including practical compliance management)
- Strong conceptual, initiative and implementation skills, as well as high standards of integrity
- Strong communication skills and intercultural competence
- A Very good command of English and German and ideally another foreign language (e.g. French)
