General objective of the position
Ensure the orientation and strategic direction and positioning of Action against Hunger in Mauritania.
Main responsibilities
- Provide the necessary leadership and coordinate a multidisciplinary team within the framework of integrated activities
- Ensure the implementation of the country strategy and the identification of new intervention opportunities
- Ensure the proper management of resources (human, financial, logistical) available at the mission level to achieve strategic objectives
- Represent Action Against Hunger in front of stakeholders: beneficiaries, partners, local authorities and administrative authorities. Ensure the proper application of Action Against Hunger’s mandate, principles and values, as well as promote Action Against Hunger’s policies, including gender, advocacy and partnership policies.
- Accountable for compliance with processes throughout the mission vis-à-vis headquarters, donors, authorities, beneficiaries
Do you match the profile we are looking for?
- Knowledge of international development, project management, political science, social sciences or equivalent sectors
- Connaissance excellente des procédures des bailleurs . Excellente capacité d’analyse . Très bonne maitrise de la gestion des équipes et des programmes
- Expérience minimum indispensable de 8 ans en gestion de projet au sein d’une organisation internationale, avec augmentation progressive des responsabilités . Expérience de 4 ans sur un poste similaire au sein d’une organisation internationale indispensable
- Expérience dans la représentation externe et bonne connaissance des procédures financières des bailleurs de fonds internationaux (ECHO, UE, OFDA/USAID).
- Français et anglais courant indispensable

- Base : Nouakchott, Mauritanie.
- Salaire selon la grille salariale d’Action contre la Faim et l’expérience du candidat.
- Poste de statut famille.
- Assurance expatrié (santé, vie, rapatriement, voyage, etc.)
- Billets de pause dans une zone définie, per diem de pause 215€.
- Billet d’avion A/R pour les congés annuelles.
- Frais d’hébergement et de logement.
- Frais de voyage pris en charge par l’organisation. .
- 25 jours ouvrables de congés payés par an.
