We are seeking a Country Director to lead our office in Manila, Philippines. We are looking for an experienced leader to provide overall management and strategic vision to our team on the ground. A day in the life of a Country Director in the Philippines:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of Country Director, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Provide overall vision, management and leadership to Samaritan’s Purse activities in the Philippines
  • Ensure appropriate supervision, support and direction for the effective engagement of all expatriate and national staff in their various assignments
  • Serve as director, executive administrator, and primary contact for country field projects
  • Monitor program effectiveness and financial accountability, and evaluate ongoing and new activities
  • Represent Samaritan’s Purse to government officials, dignitaries, other NGOs, funding agencies, and visitors
  • Lead the process of field assessments, identifying needs, designing and implementing response plans, including project budgets and writing funding proposals
  • Lead the development of new programs, identifying and pursuing potential funding and other available resources for ongoing, new, or planned Samaritan’s Purse projects
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 8 years’ related international experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience leading leaders
  • Ability to work well in a diverse team and a pressured environment
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong relational skills and financial management experience preferred
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required but can be completed after hire)

Job Location: Manila, Philippines

Type: Full-Time

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Accompaniment: Potential for family accompaniment

Travel Expectations: Approximately 60 days annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
