TITLE: Data Verification Assistant

ROLE PURPOSE: In the given context, the role is to support the implementation of the BEST/PREPS project through data entry, tracking, data management and analysis, and troubleshooting data issues.

Role Dimensions: Save the Children works in nine refugee camps along the Thai / Myanmar border: Seven Karen refugee camps under the auspices of KRCEE (Karen Refugee Education Entity) and two KnED camps (Karenni Education Department).
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Data Verification and Entry
· Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry
· Check source documents for accuracy
· Verify data and correct data where necessary
· Obtain further information for incomplete documents
· Update data and delete unnecessary files
· Combine and rearrange data from source documents where required
· Enter data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files and forms
· Transcribe information into required electronic format
· Scan documents into document management systems or databases
· Check completed work for accuracy
· Store completed documents in designated locations
· Support data entry into Indicator Performance Tracking Tool (IPTT) as needed
Data Management and Analysis
· Maintain logbooks or records of activities and tasks
· Respond to requests for information and access relevant files
· Print information when required
· Process confidential data and information according to guidelines
· Develop/ generate reports
· Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports
· Train end –users on new reports and dashboards
AUTHORITY:
· Request and hold cash advance / outstanding receipts up to the value of one month’s salary
· Request partner materials for project implementation for review

QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
· Thai Nationality
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science.
· Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field
· Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks
· Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
· Have experience in handling large data sets
· Ability to speak, read and write, English, Karen and Burmese
· Proven ability to work independently
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Desirable
• Knowledge or experience working in refugee camps along Thai-Myanmar border
