Created in 1993, ACTED is an international non-governmental organization. It pursues a double mandate for emergency and development responses and intervenes in 40 countries deeply affected by conflicts, natural disasters and / or socio-economic vulnerabilities. 7,000 national employees and 400 international employees collaborate and allow ACTED to implement 500 projects per year with activities reaching more than 20 million beneficiaries in difficult-to-reach areas.
ACTED intervenes on the last kilometer of humanitarian aid by adopting an approach that goes beyond the immediate response, in order to develop opportunities for sustainable development. Acted Democratic Republic of Congo
The Democratic Republic of Congo ( DRC ) remains shaken by the consequences of decades of civil wars. In precarious situations, the displaced suffer from chronic food insecurity or diseases linked to lack of access to water, hygiene and sanitation. Present since 2003, ACTED works mainly to respond to emergencies, strengthen the resilience of populations, co-build effective governance and promote inclusive and sustainable growth. Intervening today mainly in the areas of South Kivu, Tanganyika and North with projects funded by BHA ( Office for Humanitarian Assistance ), FH ( Humanitarian Fund ), ECHO ( European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations) and FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office ), ACTED provides a flexible emergency response adapted to acute and complex humanitarian crises by intervening with the most vulnerable populations. With seven projects underway in our different areas, ACTED seeks to meet their immediate needs in terms of access to housing ( shelters ), food security, essential household items or access to water, while promoting a protective environment.
ACTED a actuellement trois différents projets dans la Zone Sud Kivu. Un projet d’urgence multisectorielle en aide alimentaire et non alimentaire, en CCCM et également en relance agricole. Un projet de réponse rapide géré par le consortium SAFER intervenant dans toute la zone du Sud-Est. Et un projet portant sur l’Assistance d’urgence en Abris et articles ménagers essentiels auprès des populations déplacées et hôtes. En ce qui concerne la Zone du Tanganyika, ACTED mène actuellement deux projets dont un sur la thématique de l’Action coordonnée pour une programmation multisectorielle dans les camps et en dehors des camps et un autre mené en consortium avec consistant à appuyer des activités de relance agricole et apporter une assistance alimentaire pour les personnes vulnérables. Enfin, pour la Zone Nord, ACTED a aussi un projet de réponse multisectorielle en matière d’assistance alimentaire, de soutien agricole, de relance économique ainsi qu’un appui en matière d’Eau, Hygiène et Assainissement (EHA).
ACTED s’engage à agir aujourd’hui et à investir dans l’avenir avec la contribution d’un large réseau de partenaires, d’organisations locales, de réseaux mondiaux et différents clusters qui apportent leur expertise, leur expérience et leur voix pour le bon déroulement de la mission et l’atteinte de ses objectifs d’impact. En RDC, ACTED est donc active au sein de la coordination humanitaire auprès des clusters et groupes de travail existants, ainsi que d’entités comme OCHA.
Rôle et responsabilités principales
Le/la Responsable projet, sous la conduite opérationnelle du Coordinateur de zone et la conduite technique du Coordinateur technique des programmes est responsable d’assurer la mise en œuvre du projet ACTED. Le/la Responsable projet supervise les opérations de terrain et assure l’achèvement effectif et dans les délais des activités ; il assure également des restitutions de qualité et la réalisation des résultats avec un maximum d’impact pour les bénéficiaires. Le/la Responsable projet supervise le staff projet, dans la gestion au jour le jour de tous les aspects du projet et il fait le lien avec les départements internes pertinents, les partenaires externes et les parties prenantes du projet.

Qualifications and skills required
- At least two years of field experience in program management and coordination
- Knowledge of the aid system and ability to understand the donor and government system
- Excellent oral and written expression
- Ability to coordinate and manage a team
- Ability to work independently and creatively in the field and in capital
- Teamwork and ability to create a team spirit
- Strong ability to work in an intercultural context
- Ability to work under pressure
Conditions
- Salary defined by the ACTED salary scale according to the level of studies, expertise, level of security and level of experience: between 2350 and 2550 € net monthly (before income taxes)
- Monthly cost of living allowance 300 $
- Guesthouse accommodation and food supported by ACTED
- Social security, mutual ( MSH ) and repatriation assistance ( SOS International ) supported by ACTED
- Transport to the mission and return ticket fully supported every 6 months ( to the address specified on the employment contract )
- Visa fees covered by ACTED
- A week of departure preparation including 4 days of safety training in immersion
- Possibility of having a 30-minute call with a consultant in taxation
