The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) reports to the Chief of Party of the project.
The DCOP is responsible for helping the COP to meet the project’s technical objectives, manage financial resources, manage program staff, manage partnering agreements, maintain good working relationships with host government officials and local partners, manage donor reporting and ensure a high-quality delivery of services.

Donors Pact works with on current projects: USAID, DFID, DOL, PEPFAR, etc.)
Basic Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and implementation of high-quality technical programming through hands-on guidance and support grounded in the program’s strategic objectives as directed by the Chief of Party.
- Support program planning, including annual work planning and budget development, including ensuring the alignment of the budget to expected results.
- Supervise and mentor program teams in field locations as well as support teams and technical consultants as required
- Contribute to the development of quarterly and annual programmatic and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with Pact policies and procedures, donors, USG, and local laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide and/or ensure the provision of training and mentoring to partners to strengthen their capacity for technical service delivery and compliance with donor rules and regulations.
- Liaise with program partners, stakeholders, and donors as needed.
- As needed, backstop the Chief of Party, serving in their stead and assuming all required responsibilities.

Basic Requirements
Qualifications based on years of experience for International Staff (e.g. Expatriate and Third Country National candidates):
- Deputy Chief of Party:
- Typically has a Bachelor’s degree, and 11 or more years of experience including 5 years of supervisory experience, or equivalent relevant work experience; Master’s degree with 9 or more years of experience; PhD with 7 or more years of experience
