The International Secretariat which deploys the daily missions of the FIDH is made up of an international team of 70 employees based in France and in several offices abroad (Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Thailand, Colombia, African continent ), as well as consultants working occasionally on different programs. It is structured into an Operations and Programs Department and an Advocacy Department as well as Support Departments (Communication, Finance, Fundraising, Human Resources, etc.).

As part of a replacement during maternity leave, we are recruiting:

AN ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT CONTROL MANAGER – 7 MONTHS CDD

Within the Finance Department and under the responsibility of the manager of management control, the main missions of the interim deputy manager of management control are to:

Your missions are as follows:

A. Develop program budgets for donors

  • With office managers, calculate the estimated costs to carry out the activities planned in the programs and develop budgets accordingly
  • Make financial and narrative data consistent with the Fund Research office and office managers
  • Submit program budgets to the DGA, the DAF and the Management Control Manager for validation and possible adjustments

B. Monitor the implementation of programs and prepare financial reports for donors on the activities carried out within the framework of the programs

  • Prepare, based on financial information from the Computerized Management System (GIS), financial reports to donors according to the guidelines established by them, analyze them and disseminate them to the people concerned
  • Monitor and control, with office managers, the compliance of activities carried out in relation to budget lines
  • Identify and analyze deviations from budgets that may lead to budget revisions
  • Carry out periodic financial monitoring of programs using financial information from the GIS and communicate it to office managers

C. Participate with the Management Control Manager in the preparation and monitoring of financial audits

  • Preparation of files, support of auditors during internal audits (Auditor)
  • Preparation of files and support of auditors during external audits (external audit firms)

D. Miscellaneous

  • Develop the relationship with the Operations Department offices and contribute to their training in financial management procedures
  • Support the management control manager, the management controllers and the DAF if necessary
  • Classify all invoices on the server

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • Management school training (Master’s degree, DESS, ESC in management control).
  • 5 years in a similar position upon entry into the position and if possible experience of community life.
  • Mastery of one or more management software, office tools
  • Mastery of French, professional practice (written and oral) of English.
  • Perfect mastery of advanced Excel functions
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data
  • Rigor and taste for teamwork

SALARY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Fixed-term contract (full-time) for 7 months from 05/15/2024 to 12/15/2024 inclusive, based in Paris 11th with the possibility of teleworking.

  • Salary: €43,300 gross annually over 13 months depending on experience.
  • 24 days of RTT per year.
