The Opportunity
The Deputy Team Leader – Programmes Development and Quality will be based in Caracas, supporting the overall response Team Leader. The post-holder will ensure that humanitarian programmes delivered are to the appropriate scale, scope, quality, and accountability expected of Save the Children, and incorporate a child focused lens. The postholder will be expected to mentor and/or capacity-build both international and national staff colleagues.
In order to be successful, you will bring/have:
- Education to MSc/MA/MEng level in a relevant subject or equivalent field experience
- Project management certification or experience related to organisational development projects
- Previous, recently, or current experience with Save the children.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (essential)
- Previous experience of managing programme teams in large-scale first phase emergency response is essential
- Previous experience of managing a large multi-sector, multi-national team
- Previous experience of programme management across multiple locations
