The case study consultant for the H2H Network will develop four case studies, focusing on the following activations: Tigray I, Tigray II, oPt, Haiti.
The case studies are expected to follow an established structure, see examples from Vanuatu and Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Head of Network Development will be available throughout to support the development of the case study framework and evidence and learning question to be tested, as well as to set up interviews, provide background documents etc.
Suggested methodology and approximate timeframe, per case study:
· Preparation (1-2 days): Researching background and context, developing framework and hypothesis/ evidence and learning question to be tested.
· Data collection (approximately 3 days): Literature review and 3-5 key informant interviews
· Analysis and reporting (2 days): Collate evidence and draft case study
· Feedback and finalization (1 day): Incorporate feedback and finalize.

The consultancy is expected to start in October 2021 and last 30 days over 3-4 months.
1. Position of Key personnel
Technical supervision and introductions will be provided by Helen Kearney, Head of Network Development.
1. Eligibility, qualification, and experience required
· Familiarity with humanitarian operations and technical services; ideally prior experience with humanitarian innovation process
· Qualitative case study methodology; previous experience developing case studies
· Excellent research and writing skills in English
· Works well remotely and independently. The H2H Network’s Head of Network Development and core team will be available to support throughout.
1. Location and support
The consultant will be based and remotely and provide her or his own computer and mobile telephone.
